Born into a creative family with a great sense of humor and a grateful attitude, I began assisting my father with interior construction projects at an early age. Fascinated by the process of construction and joinery, I absorbed all that he taught me through experiential learning, including the importance of using quality materials, organization, and cohesive design that is livable, durable, and esthetically pleasing. Together, we naturally merged order and beauty with a positive attitude.
As a pastime, I spent hours in my youth drawing and painting as well as assisting my mother with interior decorating projects, refinishing furniture, and later collaborating on fine art projects. My deep passion is in interior design and construction, and my parents are the foundation of my creative spirit!
At 17, I was awarded a scholarship to join my peers for a summer intensive at the Parson School of Art & Design in New York City. From there I transitioned into a business career in Administration and Sales which trained me to later become an independent woman-owned business.
After a rewarding corporate career, I attended the Fine Art Program at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC. After graduation I created and operated a decorative painting studio where I worked with the best of the best in the Design Industry and was introduced to wonderful people – my clients! During this time with my family in tow, I had the pleasure to design and manage three personal home renovation projects and work with incredibly talented trades people, architects, and builders.
Today in my spare time, I enjoy my children, continue to create commissioned paintings, volunteer in my community, and stay active with mountain biking and hiking.
